SAP combines Google Maps and geo location and business intelligence, to develop a new system of spatial representation very useful. Google and SAP signed an agreement to develop location-based tools in conjunction with professional solutions for business intelligence (BI).
Business Objects solutions for the German publisher will be combined with mapping tools of the Internet Group (Google Maps, Google Earth, and Google Street View).
Depending on the market segments covered by SAP customers, synergies will be established between the professional databases and location-based tools. They will often bring out local or regional trends more easily visible in global vision.
User-Friendly Interfaces and Intuitive
Presenting the items in intuitive interfaces should facilitate understanding. This valuable information helps to make strategic decisions faster. “Our customers now have the opportunity to tap into the combined power of analytical tools [SAP] and geospatial intelligence tools through geographic views [such as Google Maps] and may use analytical tools to respond to interactive real-time event, ” said Sanjay Poonen, president of Global Solutions SAP AG.

and SAP have worked together through Google Stream Works, a collaborative tool for mid-mid- decision marketed by the German publisher.

For example, a mobile operator could instantly identify its faulty stations by viewing Google Maps on the volume of dropped calls ups.
Another example: a bank could assess the risks of a mortgage “superimposing the data of foreclosures and defaults of loans with the location on Google Maps.”
This initiative is a process of SAP to converge its professional tools and consumer software, to help easily navigate through the databases increasingly large and diverse. The famous “Big Data”
