Sap Bi Position Data on Google Maps

SAP combines Google Maps and geo location and business intelligence, to develop a new system of spatial representation very useful. Google and SAP signed an agreement to develop location-based tools in conjunction with professional solutions for business intelligence (BI).

Business Objects solutions for the German publisher will be combined with mapping tools of the Internet Group (Google Maps, Google Earth, and Google Street View).

Depending on the market segments covered by SAP customers, synergies will be established between the professional databases and location-based tools. They will often bring out local or regional trends more easily visible in global vision.

User-Friendly Interfaces and Intuitive

Presenting the items in intuitive interfaces should facilitate understanding. This valuable information helps to make strategic decisions faster. “Our customers now have the opportunity to tap into the combined power of analytical tools [SAP] and geospatial intelligence tools through geographic views [such as Google Maps] and may use analytical tools to respond to interactive real-time event, ” said Sanjay Poonen, president of Global Solutions SAP AG.
